Chemicals used for treatment of process water

Industry

Industry- industry and energy are great water consumers. In industry water is used as reactants in the process, to maintain sanitary conditions, as a mean of heat transfer.


Boiler water

Boiler water- water power steam boilers should be clean water without:

  • suspended and colloidal substances,
  • soluble salts (salts are precipitated in pipes),
  • dissolved gases (oxygen and carbon dioxide, promoting corrosion of the boiler plant).

Maintenance of pH values and corrosion inhibitor

Oxygen reducing

Binding of oxygen and preventing corrosion in steam systems. Permission for use in the food industry.


Salt tableted, water softening

Salt tablets are tablets of sodium chloride (NaCl). Salt tablets is prepared from iodized, ekstrafine, recrystallized salt of high purity which is applicable for water softening.


Feedwater

Feedwater, feed water is treated water used in boiler (steam generator) for generation of steam (for the operation of steam turbines) or hot water in thermal power plants and other power plants (nuclear power plants, bioenergy, CHPPs).


Reverse osmosis

Reverse osmosis, reverse osmosis is used to purify water and removal of inorganic minerals, salts and other impurities in order to improve the appearance, taste and other properties of the water. Proper maintenance of reverse osmosis system include using of approved chemicals. It is necessary to use chemicals for conditioning membranes, reducing scales and disinfection.
